| MOSCOW RACETRACK -- Russia Express racing in Russia was conducted up to and including 2005 at the Pyatigorsk Hippodrome. The venerable old dirt track is over 150 years old and located just 25 miles from Tersk Stud. Due to a lack of current information on Pyatigorsk, as of the 2006 season Express Russian racing has been "moved" to the track in Moscow. ~ Horses run on a dirt track, counter-clockwise as in North America. ~ Only horses bred in Russia may race in Russia. ~ NOTE: Effective September 2000, no new geldings will be permitted to start in Russia. Here, colts are kept intact until the end of their racing careers. However, geldings who have already raced in Russia in 2000 or earlier may finish their racing careers. ~ 6 horses per owner in undercards unless otherwise stated, 2 in Stakes. ~ All purses stated in Russian Rubles. ~ Please put "RUSSIA" in the subject line if entering by e-mail. |
